As part of our Middle School Above & Beyond program, Years 7 and 8 students studying Photography visited the National Portrait Gallery. They participated in a program called Visual Thinking Strategies, which focuses on enhancing critical thinking and visual literacy skills.
The program emphasised careful observation, verbalising observations and supporting theories with evidence, active listening, and developing the skill to simultaneously hold different and sometimes conflicting ideas as possibilities.
